That’s why ApéroExpats began in May 2023: to bring Swiss locals and internationals together, one easy-going evening at a time.
Since that first drink at Les Jardins, we’ve met in cosy bars, on sunlit terraces, at Montreux Jazz and by the lake. The places change. The idea stays simple: show up, say hello, and see where the evening takes you.

A few things you might be wondering.
Can I come on my own?
Absolutely. Meeting new people is what ApéroExpats is for. Come on your own, bring a friend, or reconnect after some time away. If you’re feeling shy, say hello to Georges when you arrive and let him know it’s your first time.
Is it only for expats?
Everyone is welcome. ApéroExpats has brought Swiss locals and internationals together from the very first edition. Whether Lausanne is brand new to you or has always been home, you belong here.
Do I need to speak French?
You don’t need perfect French to say hello. The community brings together locals and people from different countries. English and French are both welcome, and an apéro is a relaxed place to practise.
When and where is the next gathering?
The next date and venue haven’t been announced here yet. Join the waiting list and we’ll contact you by email or WhatsApp when the details are ready. Previous gatherings have taken place in Lausanne’s bars, on terraces, by the lake and at the Montreux Jazz Festival.
Does joining the waiting list reserve my place?
No. The waiting list is for news about upcoming ApéroExpats gatherings. When an event is announced, we’ll share its date, venue and registration details. Any capacity limits or costs will be specific to that event.
