ApéroExpats is a community for meeting people in and around Lausanne through informal gatherings. It began in May 2023 with an invitation for Swiss locals and internationals to meet at Les Jardins. People can come on their own or with friends. The emphasis is a welcoming setting for conversation and new friendships. Past invitations include afterwork drinks in Lausanne bars, outdoor terrace gatherings, an outing to the Montreux Jazz Festival, and a beach party beside Théâtre de Vidy. The community is based in Lausanne; the July 2023 festival outing took place in Montreux. Historical venues are places used by individual events, not a permanent ApéroExpats business address or an assertion of an ongoing partnership. English is the default website language. Visiting the homepage or waiting-list page loads an embedded Tally form and connects the visitor's browser to Tally. ## Frequently asked questions ### Can I come on my own? Absolutely. Meeting new people is what ApéroExpats is for. Come on your own, bring a friend, or reconnect after some time away. If you’re feeling shy, say hello to Georges when you arrive and let him know it’s your first time. ### Is it only for expats? Everyone is welcome. ApéroExpats has brought Swiss locals and internationals together from the very first edition. Whether Lausanne is brand new to you or has always been home, you belong here. ### Do I need to speak French? You don’t need perfect French to say hello. The community brings together locals and people from different countries. English and French are both welcome, and an apéro is a relaxed place to practise. ### When and where is the next gathering? The next date and venue haven’t been announced here yet. Join the waiting list and we’ll contact you by email or WhatsApp when the details are ready. Previous gatherings have taken place in Lausanne’s bars, on terraces, by the lake and at the Montreux Jazz Festival. ### Does joining the waiting list reserve my place?
